A2 – Basic Course II<\/h3>\t\t\t

This course builds on the A1 course and helps students perform tasks independently.
\nStudents already have basic language skills, which are reinforced by coping with everyday situations on their own. It takes experiences and life situations and broadens and extends these using grammatical structures. The past and subjunctive tenses are also introduced, along with all the common declensions and more complex sentence structures.
\nTopics such as family, celebrations, housing, food and drink, clothing, health, travel, careers and the workplace are covered in detail and tailored to the needs of individual students. Our German teaching is based on the 'Netzwerk Deutsch als Fremdsprache A2' textbook, which gently introduces the German language in an educational way, as specified by the European Reference Framework.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, increasingly authentic texts are also used in the German lessons, including newspaper articles, audio excerpts and video clips. In partners and groups, students learn to communicate freely and confidently, gather information and write their own texts. At the end of this German course, students can sit a final exam in order to reflect on their learning and consolidate their progress. They also have the opportunity to take an internationally recognised telc A2 exam with us.<\/p>\n

At the end of this level, you have a basic knowledge of German. You can understand and apply sentences and frequently used expressions associated with all areas of everyday life<\/p>\n

Course content<\/FONT><\/p>\n

In the beginner II course, participants learn to take away information from basic texts and give basic information. They shall learn to express themselves more precisely and begin to use subordinate clauses. Participants will practice dialogues, writing short texts, and hearing exercises so they continue to get used to understanding and using the German language. Each chapter begins with a double disc introduction which follows the according theme and grammar of the chapter. Through this, participants can read, hear, speak and write themselves.<\/p>\n
